This wedding holds a special place in my heart because it was the first destination wedding I did on my own (with the Accents team). I have helped other florists at their weddings in Carmel, CA, Seattle, WA, and Conway, AR but not one where I was in charge! It was very stressful at times, but overall I’d do it again…and hope to do many more destination weddings!! Since we now offer full wedding planning, design and flowers (of course!) we can be your go to gals to help with all the wedding planning!! I was so in love with the design of this wedding, so here are some of the beautiful photos!
The ceremony space at The Gadsden House was in the courtyard which it did rain so we had to do a last minute clear tent. Which was actually happy for the little rain shower for two reasons…one it cooled the temperature off because it was SO hot under that tent and two…well keep on reading until the end to see the second reason!
So many amazing rentals such as this lounge area, were the perfect decor touches
Inside the house were the most gorgeous fireplace mantels which we added little touches of candles and floral
Since the over all feel our bride wanted was romantic and moody, we added so many different sized candles all through out the long reception tables. We also kept it simple, but very romantic with just using flower petals and heads to scatter within the candles.
Charleston has some of the best rentals I’ve seen with no surprise as it is one of the top cities for destination weddings. For sure did not disappoint!!
Our super fun, laid back couple live in the St. Louis area and decided on a destination wedding…I think Charleston was a prefect fit!! Oh, did you catch my second reason for loving the rain?! A rainbow!!
