It was a hot one with record breaking temperatures, but you can’t tell from these images captured beautifully by Claire Bira of Imageclairity. When Claire sent over the images for me to choose from it was, as usual, a tough call because there are so many I want but I was especially drawn to the black and white ones. Actually some of my all time favorites are the black and white with no flowers at all. Crazy, right?! You’ve got to see them all and as usual there’s a bridal bouquet breakdown!!
Because of the extra hot temps the ceremony was moved inside to the reception room which was not only more comfortable for the guests but also for the flowers. When you pick a beautiful venue like Silver Oaks it’s not a problem to move the ceremony since all the different rooms are equally as lovely.
AnneMaire’s Bouquet Breakdown:
- spray rose
- peony (more on this below)
- garden rose
- eucalyptus times two
The peony was not a flower we had planned on using because they usually are not looking too hot this time of year. But when I went to the flower mart to hand select a few items, there they were- looking very nice! It was a surprise to me which is what I love so much about not listing out every single bloom I’m going to use because if I did that I wouldn’t have listed peony, I would have spent that budget on something else and there would be no gorgeous peony in this bridal bouquet. I think it’s very important that the clients trust whoever they hire to make the best decision. I know I always have my clients in mind when designing what will look best at the given time. We can plan and plan everything out, but on the actual day of things can change and when you have that trust you know you will end up with all the pretty photos to look back on over the years.
PS- I took this picture! I love when couples have fun elements like these instant polaroids for guests or even vendors like me to interact with!
This might be one of my favorite photos out of them all and there’s not even a flower in it!
